What is findable?
findable is a free scanner that scores one web page on traditional SEO, answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO). It runs 150+ page checks, gives you one overall score from 0 to 100, and ranks the fixes by how many points each one recovers.

How is SEO different from AEO and GEO?
SEO gets your page found and ranked by a crawler. AEO gets a short passage of it chosen as the answer. GEO gets your facts and your name cited inside a generated reply. SEO comes first, because a page that cannot be fetched or read cannot be answered from or cited.

The overall score blends three family scores: SEO counts for half, AEO and GEO for a quarter each. Every failing check is worth its family weight divided by that family's check count. That is why the top fixes you see are ranked by recoverable points.

The overall score is SEO at 50%, AEO at 25% and GEO at 25%, rounded to a whole number. Each family score is the share of its applicable checks that pass. The overall score maps to a grade:
- 90 to 100: A+ Excellent
- 80 to 89: A Good
- 70 to 79: B Fair
- 60 to 69: C Needs work

Only the overall score gets a grade. Fixes are ranked by the points they recover.

How is the score computed?
The overall score is SEO at 50%, AEO at 25% and GEO at 25%, rounded to a whole number from 0 to 100. Each family score is the share of its applicable checks that pass. There are 160 checks: 98 SEO, 35 AEO and 27 GEO.
What does findable store?
A scan fetches the public URL you submit, plus its robots.txt and llms.txt. Scan results are not cached. Share previews are cached for 1 hour, and speed test results and share cards for up to 24 hours. The optional speed test sends the URL to Google PageSpeed. Share links carry the score in the link itself. Reports you create with Get permanent link are stored for 90 days. If you opt in to watch a site, your email and the site host are stored. There are no ads, trackers or accounts.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
Yes, and it is free. It scans a post or page from the editor, adds a score column and bulk-scans up to 20 of your latest posts. Fix All prints a meta description, a canonical if WordPress doesn't already print one, Open Graph and JSON-LD tags in the page head without editing your content, and Undo restores the previous state.
How do I use it from a terminal or an AI agent?
Install the Go CLI with go install github.com/findable-page/findable/cmd/findable@latest, then run findable https://example.com. Run findable -mcp, or npx -y findable-mcp, to give an AI agent the audit tools. Use -format sarif or the GitHub Action to fail a CI build under a score you choose.
Can it scan more than one page?
Yes. Crawl Site mode (beta) scans your start page plus internal links, up to 20 pages. The CLI can go further, for example findable -crawl -limit 100 to scan 100 pages.
Does findable ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Google AI about my page?
No. It checks the signals on your page that answer engines can use, such as structured data, direct answers, clear authorship and sources. It does not query any AI product.
